A day at Pudding

How a child spends the day at Pudding

Each part of the day follows the pace of the children in each room.

  1. Early morning

    Step 1: Arrival

Each child arrives with their family at the room door. There is time for a hug and for hanging the backpack on its hook.

A boy hugs his mother goodbye at the classroom door while a teacher waves from inside
  2. Mid-morning

    Step 2: Meals

The center serves lunch and two snacks at low tables. Each child eats at their own pace, with a teacher beside them.

Two toddlers eat from small bowls at a low wooden table with a caregiver beside them
  3. Before nap

    Step 3: Time outside

Babies play on a blanket on the shaded patio; older children go out to the fenced yard. Everyone goes out when the weather allows.

A caregiver sits on a blanket on a shaded patio while two babies play beside her
  4. After lunch

    Step 4: Stories

Books in Spanish and English, on the floor or in the armchair. The youngest listen and point at the pages.

A caregiver and a toddler seated on the floor laugh as they look at a picture book
  5. Early afternoon

    Step 5: Nap time

Each child has a place of their own to rest. Babies sleep on their backs, in their own crib, with nothing else in it.

Children look at picture books on their cots while a teacher tucks a blanket around one of them
  6. End of the day

    Step 6: Pickup

Each child is handed over in person. We tell you how the day went before you head home.

A father zips his daughter's coat by the cubbies at pickup
